PAINT & BODYWORK

It’s time for paint and bodywork.  I stripped all the pieces off before I took it to the body shop.

Since it was not exactly street legal, I took it over on a trailer.

They have stripped the drivers side down to bare fiberglass and are fixing the cracks and broken places.

Looks a little different.  Sort of like a tiger shark paint scheme.

In the paint booth.  I personally took parts off to be painted separately – like the hood , wiper door, exhaust filler, and side grills.  Even though the body shop owner said they would do a good job, I was afraid the workers may try to cut some corners and not take the parts off.

The left hinge area had been broken some time ago.  Someone had rigged up a fix.  The body shop said they could repair this part but I was skeptical.  They fixed it though.
