Engine Compartment Restoration

	The engine compartment was really in need of some restoration. What a better time to do it than with the engine out? The firewall is almost gray from age. The wiring harnesses were a real mess but still functioned. With a little cleaning, some paint, and some parts replaced she’ll be back looking like new.
I took everything you could out of the engine compartment and either blasted and painted it or replaced it. I think I fell into the restorer’s trap of “well, since I have that off, I ought to go ahead and restore (fix) that”. My simple restoration soon took on a life of its own and kept growing. I’m happy with the job, though. I really did enjoy the process (especially now that it is over).
